Through various avenues of communication, we will spread the word of the opportunity to pull off one of the funniest stunts in the history of this great nation. We will arrange for every Baby Boomer and everyone who knows a Baby Boomer personally, to go into their nearest bookstore and purchase a copy of “Booming to 60”. The result of this prank could be historic; everyone in America either is a “Boomer” or knows one. Booksellers throughout the country would be overwhelmed with the jocularity of every person in their city or town coming in to buy the book. It could become the first book on the “New York Times Best Seller List” to sell to every person in the US. People would remember this stunt for years to come. Selling 125,000,000 copies could be a plus also.
Then we could go global. Even though Baby Boomers are an American phenomenon, I’m sure Europeans and Asians would like to know something about the generation they have been reading about in Time Magazine every 10 years. In fact, since they haven’t had one of those plagues lately, they probably have some citizens turning 60 also. “Booming to 60” could be a great guide to geezerdom no matter how you pronounce, “Oh my aching back!”
